Now For Cavalier Stories, I have a few as you can imagine. I'd like to share a few of
my Favorite ones and Hope You will Share some of Yours With All of Us.
Who Did It?
Our very first litter of Cavalier King Charles Puppies Had arrived! Five Beautiful
Puppies, 3 girls & 2 Boys.
The weeks flew by and they were playing and getting
around their Puppy area in the Dining room.
At about week 5, I woke to find a little Puppy Poo-Poo in the middle of the livingroom
Floor. I looked around to find the escapee, only to find all 5 puppies Sleeping
soundly.
This went on every morning for several days until my Son Jimmy got up early to watch
Cartoons and caught the Pooper in the act. It Was Spike!
He not only climbed out each morning to Poop in the Livingroom but then turned around
and climbed back in to continue his morning Slumber!
My Daddy!
We had a Puppy a couple years ago who chewed on an electrical Cord and nearly died.
Blaze was just 8 weeks old, an adorable Black & Tan Boy. The electrical shock caused
Pulminary Edema (Fluid In Lungs). It was touch and go for a week or so but he seemed to
get back to normal with the exception of scary Siezures.
Blaze became my Shadow and followed me everywhere and when I saw a seizure coming, I
could Hold & Calm him enough for the siezure to pass or subside. As he got older he
would leave me to play with the other Cavaliers from time to time.
One day I heard a commotion outside my bedroom door. Serious Growling & Barking! Very
Unusual.
When I opened my door, I was astonished to see, Blaze's Daddy, Straddled over Blaze,
Holding him down as he was in the midst of a siezure. Chip's Bark was not only keeping
the other dogs away but got me on my feet and running.
Chip Kept Blaze from Running around and possibly hurting himself and Gave me a huge dose
of comfort. Until that day, I had worried about what would happen if I was not around
when he had a siezure, well now I knew, Chip would be There!
